I was on a forum yesterday and there was this guy with accounts on about 20 messenger services. There was also this other guy with 5, and another with only 1. So this has got me wondering, how many instant messaging services do you guys you, if any at all.

I have one Hotmail account that I use for email and instant messaging. I never really liked other services such as Yahoo, ICQ, or AIM. It just seems not enough people use them anymore to bother installing some software. One thing I like about Hotmail is that you can add Yahoo contacts and vice versa.

I know about multiple protocol messenger, but I don't really enjoy using them.

Most of the time nothing will connect or somebody adds me on my msn and yahoo address so it fucks up and I have to constantly fix things.

It's quite simple really. You go to www.hotmail.com, register an account, go to http://messenger.live.com/ and download the messenger, install the messenger and log on. :D From there it's all about adding people (very easy) and changing your display picture, name, and personal message.
