If you personally beleive in karma then that's what you will call it when something bad happens, inconvenient things will happen from time to time whether you give it the name karma, luck or chance.

Yeah, I believe in karma, I mean, c'mon. There's been to many cases to say it doesn't exist, whatever goes around comes around. It always will whether you like it or not, at some point or another, it will bite you in the ass if you did somethin wrong in the past.

I have a problem with the whole Karma thing. Say a guy is a douchebag and gets t-boned in a car accident (him getting some of that bad Karma back), but his car skids into a school yard full of preschoolers and kills them. What did the preschoolers do to dirty up their Karma bad enough to get hit by that car?

I don't.
I've been on one end of the stick far too often and let me tell you, nothing good for it has come to me.
Karma is just a stupid superstition that should be forgotten about all together.
If you ask me, there's a higher chance of ghosts existing than dumbass karma.

Is that the reason that you want to be a good person? So that good things will happen to you?

Maybe they were bad in a past life and karma's repaying them now. You never know.
Good point.

Sometimes.
Let's say that you had every positive intention to help someone, and then they get all scared and pissed, and it's not for some time that you realize what you did.
Is that something you can help?

What if our own karma interferes with other peoples karma? If 200 people die in a plane crash had the majority done something terribly wrong at some point in their lifes? what if it's the pilot had the bad karma. Who can clearly define a difference between karma, bad luck and chance :S, Bad things happen to good people all the time.

What you are describing is simple cause and effect, not karma. If you're being a douche bag and get your ass kicked for it, that’s not karma. That’s a dick getting what was coming to him. According to the Hindu religion, if you were bad in a past life, it effects what you come back as, not what happens to you in this life. If you’re an asshole you come back as a slug or something. Karma is what is supposed to affect you for your misdeeds in this life. I’m not Hindu, so no, I don’t believe that there is some cosmic scale weighing out my naughty actions and handing out my appropriate punishment. I believe if you do good things and surround yourself with positive people, you will usually say clear of trouble. There is always that random act that could wipe any of us out at any moment. That’s the law of averages. Innocent people die all the time. I dont think they somehow deserved it.

I know. I just get all bent out of shape when people talk in fucking circles. It's like trying to talk to my alzheimer's patient...plus I haven't spent enough time on here to figure out all of the little bells and whistles. I was trying to quote his original post and my follow up post.

I'm getting the feeling some people read the last post and respond to it without reading the history or that I have stepped into an alternate universe where absolutely nothing makes sense. I'm letting this fucking site get into my head. See ya fools!

I think what he meant was that if he does good things for people that they might return the favor. That if he avoids negative situations and negative people , he will find himself in a positive surrounding and good will come.:D

I've never met the woman! Besides I always like to break the ice with a nice plate of Poptarts when I meet someone for the first time....

I do...
but then again shit is bound to happen even if you do good all the time, or if you do bad all the time etc...
It just depends on how much you think about it, and I don't much.

Karma doesnt exist. Its all probability and chance. Take a course in statistics and probability and you'll understand for yourself. Second, people who believe in Karma are as stupid as people who genuinely believe in good luck charms and superstition

She (meaning me) didnt intend to imply I only do good things or try to be a good person in order to get good deeds done back, but that its nice when good things do happen, but I dont believe its anything to do with or actually believe in karma myself!

Your doing it wrong Diz. It's a lucky rabbit's foot you are meant to have. No wonder you have no luck silly :D
So thats why I havent won the lottery yet. Damn it!:lol!:
whatever happens will happen or, do you make, create your own suffering?
id go for zyklon B.
depending on the places you go , people you meet and shit you do followed by your own personal baggage will determine the kind of ..karma..you get or give away .
person and environment = experience.
speaking from experience ive been aware of a few bad things happen to me when i did bad shit to other people. not disfiguring or crippling people but stealing and damaging shit or people. maybe they were just innocent kawinkydinks but they seemed connected in some way .
as with the good shit . i did a good thing once and a couple of days later i remember i didn't die in a motorbike crash .
whatever about karma, fuck knows , but i know there is a reason for everything .....and if there's no reason , then make up something that makes life a little more tolerable

I think Karma is guilt finding excuses to relay bad things you've done in your life to present day bad shit happening to you so that you can feel you've been punished for the bad deed you did by the current bad thing that's happened to you.... get me? :D
Then you can forget about the bad thing you did because you feel like justice has been served and you've received a punishment for that deed you did :spaz:
Subliminal ;)
feel you've been punished for the bad deed you did by the current bad thing that's happened to you.... get me? :D
good way of lookin at it . ....if i cut myself would that speed up the process of absolution ?
Mr.5050
10-16-2011, 04:02 PM
No.. you'd just be cutting yourself... but you could relate it to something bad you've done in your life and feel a weight lifted :lol!:

Karma is a tricky one. To believe in karma, you must believe in a higher being. There's a lot of bad bastards out there who haven't had there cummuponce YET. So who knows?
