Is it alright to download the videos from the main page? As some of you may know, I have problems with the loading time on the videos. I live across the world from the servers, so by the time I connect to the network my 1.5Mpbs ADSL slows down to 250Kbps to 500Kbps, and we all know how shitty that is. It's my ISP that's at fault though; their bandwidth is quite literally crap.

That's not really bad for a 1.5mpbs provider. Mine is like 4mbps I hover around the same -_-

Keep in mind, Kyo, that those are estimated speeds. These estimates were obtained by testing the connection on test servers. I probably get something much lower when connecting to theYNC.

I approve of having a "Download" link as well.

I wasn't suggesting it, but sure. :p

I'm just wondering if it's alright to download them. I download videos with Internet Download Manager.

I downloaded RealPlayer and any video I watch I have the option to download it... very simple, just click download and it stores it in your Video folder...

I have 5mbps dsl and I download at about the same 200-400kbps, I dont think I've ever hit 1mbps,

But yeah. RealPlayer works really well.

You should be more than happy with 200-400KB/s. I'd be happy if I got such speeds.

Realplayer is nice and all, but for downloading with the connection I have it's best to have download software the is specific on downloading. When I download with Realplayer I never get more than 50KB/s, while with Internet Download Manager I get an average of 100KB/s depending on the server I'm downloading from.

I use Realplayer for most of my anime. I love anime in the .rmvb format because I don't have to deal with extracting and deleting the archives.

The only thing I hate about realplayer is that for some reason it takes up like 52% of my processer, and I have 1.8Ghz DuoCore, for such a small program it sure sucks up resources... Do you get that too?

I use a high end machine, so I don't have such a problem. I love my 5.0GHz Duo Core E8500. :)

My notebook that I use at work has a single core 1.6GHz processor and it loads and runs Realplayer just fine.

Just what I needed to know, thanks.

There are three things that I can find being useful:
1. A download button.
2. A link to the video file so we can download it using out download manager/accelerator.
3. Both of the above.

Videos download at max speed for me (no special accelerator software), and I got 3.0 Mbps.

How do you download a video? I can't find a link to download with and when I right click on a video all I get are a couple of options unrelated to downloading.
Thanks

So far there is no "Download" link with the videos. This thread suggests that such be added. Technically, the "download" process occurs when you see the video playing in your browser.
