Geez, where did you dig this oldie up? It's cool though. I've learned a few things in just a few seconds of scrolling down. Helpful things too.

-If you want to get water to a boil faster and get hotter or your heat source is inadequate to get it to reach a boil, add a tiny pinch of salt.

*To the curious: The salt actually raises the boiling point of water so I would think it's the last thing you'd wanna do under these circumstances. But, the ions in soduim chloride create a insulative barrier over the top, similar to a lid. This allows the water to reach that higher temp much quicker. Hotter and faster instant coffee for example.

Add some rice to the salt shaker to absorb moisture and keep it from caking.

Plug holes where mice may get through with steel wool. Anything else and they'll just chew through it.

LEAKY CAR RADIATOR:

I had a shitbox car once I used as a work car to park in the shitty side of town (even left the doors unlocked)  It had this tiny pinhole leak in the radiator that probably occurred from internal corrosion. It was nearly impossible to even locate and there was no way I'd invest a dime to fix it. So:

-Add a teaspoon of plain black pepper. It will flow to the leak and plug it like a barrier. If dislodged, other pepper grains floating around will take it's place.

-Add one egg white. Once the engine gets hot it will cook the egg white into little rubbery plugs. Makes a better seal than the pepper but as I recall doesn't last quite as long.

*I can't remember, but one of the above "fixes" would last about two weeks before I had to do another cheap fix again. Not bad.

GETTING SHOT!

-Yeah lol, as stupid or unlikely as it sounds, for kicks I'm definitely listing it. TAMPONS! They were originally invented by they French in WWI to plug bullet holes and they would expand, form a seal and allow a clot to form. They don't work as well with high-velocity smaller caliber fragmentary rounds like the 5.56x45 or 5.45x39 as well as they would for older .30 cal wounds which would tend tk be one straight hole, but they still make a big difference in creating back pressure and plugging the leak. And yep, we carried them.

*Shove a tampon in the hole. That is all hehehe..

TRESPASSERS!

Want to discourage nosey people or little malicious pricks running through your wooded rural property or garden? Tie small #6 fishing hooks to chest high foliage and branches (to avoid wildlife and dogs) with impossible to see 6 pound rated fising line (1-2 feet) Tie them anywhere you find yourself pushing shit out of the way so you can walk.

* Dip the barbs in shit if you need to get a little more agressive, ie meth heads

^ C'mon you people! Lmao! Be serious! And now I gotta think of one....

If you want the tree to look bigger, trim the bushes around it.

A piece of dry pasta also works good for this.

That's awesome. The fact the rice is so small can be problematic for other things too. For example, I've got this big container of Koolaid powder that takes a pretty long time to go through. So, at this point, it's barely halfway gone and I have to make like I'm chiseling a name in a tombstone everytime its "Koolaid Time!" Too late for this one, but the next, a few pieces outghta do :) I shall remember and report back hehehe..
