After watching it frame by frame...

The pistol is in "Double action"...
look closely... the hammer never moves, neither does his trigger finger!
When you fire a 1911 in double action, your gonna noticably move your finger, and the hammer is going to move rearward!!!
The nail in the coffin is the poor editing right before the "BOOM"!!!

Fake of course. Where's the kickback?...No kickback. He keeps the gun straight and just lifts his arm and even moves it forward instead of back, and no rotary motion in the wrist. No doubt for me.
