Yeah but teachers are suppose to take shit. It's part of being a teacher. If you can't protect them and teach them, you shouldn't work with kids. He should of just been patient or asked the head of the school for the young man to be removed from his classes, not try to kill him by choking him. Teachers are meant to be professionals. They get paid to take shit off ungrateful kids who bother them year round.

I've wanted to teach (even if on the side) since I was 17, and I take my philosophy seriously, and my actual teaching loosely (and relaxed).

Students/Kids just want to know more about your personality when they crack jokes. It's usually a sign that the course material is coming off as too mechanical and strict, even if the material is useful.

Yes, I do partially teach physics and astronomy (mostly labs).
