Religion usually plays an important role in right wing politics. In Iran the shithole right wing muslim country they don't want people educated especially women which makes a vicious cycle. The majority is uneducated and religious and there is a connection between the two. Oh yeah and their lack of knowledge is why Israel can smack the shit outta them lol.
