Default Man returns $23,000 in lost money & jewelry....

Joe Monto of Ringwood found a backpack filled with cash and jewels in Ramapo State Forest and tracked down its owner.

So I was wondering if everyone else here at YNC would have went thru the trouble of tracking down and returning the loot.

I definitely would have returned the jewelry but I have a feeling some of the cash may have been missing.......times are tough.

    id have sold it on
For me, it is a means of confronting both evil and mortality, to see for myself things that will hopefully forever remain outside of my life. As a creative type, I need to understand these situations for future reference. No pleasure is gained from these viewings, only a better knowledge of humanity

I did something similar about twenty or so years back. I went to this bakers to buy some pasties for lunch. The shopkeeper gave me the goods in a paper bag and I went back to my truck to eat them. When I opened the bag there was £200 in twenties underneath the pasties. Without even thinking I just returned to the shop and gave the guy the money back. He looked at me like I was severly handicapped in the brain department. Once again on my way back to the truck, I realised the guy didn't even thank me!

I'm a lot older and a lot fucking wiser, my policy now is 'finder's keeper's' and fuck you!

I suppose Joe Monto is a real 'honest Joe'!

But cum on. 200 Bucks? Would you do the same, when there was 20.000 bucks in the dilfy, slimey bag?
I was a lot younger then and had a different view of the world. Like I said "older & wiser", a lot more shit has gone down in my life since then and I now see the world for what it is. So if it happened today the guy wouldn't see me for dust!

What if I found the rucksack? Stay out of my fucking way, I'll kill you for it!

The reason I would have returned the jewelery is because it may have sentimental value.
Last year after my back surgery, my wedding ring came up missing.....it wasn't worth a lot of money, but it was very valuable to me.
