Changes to the YNC
Hi just wanted to let everyone know were working on some things again to make the YNC better for you guys and girls. Well be adding a new section for current events video (News) also were gonna be looking for a moderator to moderate the comments as some people are ruining them with ignorance and blatant racism.
Also adding a upload feature so you can upload your own videos and have the link instantly. Any more suggestions are always welcome....

im new to this site, was a member of TWW.... do you guys have a filter? say i didnt want to view the gore/death vids, is itpossible to filter those out? or select only the categories i want to view vids from? thanks!
I'd like to be the second person in this thread to say he/she is interested in moderating the comments. I feel I would do the best job for multiple reasons: I've had previous moderating experience. I've had several websites, forums, and I've ran a clan that lasted over two years. I have experience. I'm on the internet more than all of you. I'm always on top of things. Nothing comes before moderating duty, not even work! I cannot even feed myself unless all the unlawful comments have been annihilated.Originally Posted by Dan

I believe that such a feature currently isn't implemented on theYNC.

you can make your own filter from a piece of card just insert it in the end of the cigarette paper err......is this the smokin weed thread?
Obviously care should be taken when choosing a moderator. If someone were to be too harsh it may put people off. Bearing in mind the nature of the site people expect a bit of freedom. Racism is certainly out along with bullying, which is something I have also noticed. Please read my post in 'What do you HATE about this site' #110 (quoted below).
I can't stand all this false racism stuff, they leave comments about other poster's and not the videos. They claim to be muslim and hate all whites or they claim to be white and hate everyone else, but you soon realise these guys just want to be abrasive and argue, packing as much offense into every comment as they are able. Their aim is purely to get a rise out of people. If they can't use race to get that rise then they turn to other angles such as ridiculing people for 'typos' or questioning their level of intelligence or their ability to perform sexually. After studying these people for some time and even engaging in abrasive coversation with them, I have finally come to the conclusion: There are some SERIOUS FUCKING ASSHOLES IN THIS WORLD.

While I will agree that posters shouldn't constantly harass one another and I hate spam too but we shouldn't squash someones freedom of speech.
Keep in mind the 1st amendment isn't to protect popular or nice speech, it's to protect unpopular or mean speech. No one is forced to read a comment! My right to read what someone has to say should be greater than some limp-wristed pussy that can't handle naughty language.
How about this, for all the people that are easily offended, go over to Youtube, Break.com, or NothingToxic. Can't we have one site where the 1st amendment still means something!!!

I do agree that it's very important to give people the right to express their opinions on various matters, but I also do believe that there's a giant difference between expressing yourself and being downright offensive and rude. Instead of hitting Caps Lock and typing "LOL HE'S A MUTHERFUKIN NIGGA FUK HIS ASS HE DESERVED TO DIE", one could change the words around to keep the discussion proper, but in a way that keeps the ideology the same. Don't forget that most of these people are going around trying to obtain a bigger e-penis by being posting offensive comments. Most of the time it's not speech, it's stupidity. In real life you can be sued for being racist, but on the internet people can say whatever they want without consequence. Posting racist and offensive comments can be ones way of venting. It's only natural for people to have suspicions. However, I can assure you that my will is based on my wish to keep theYNC a great place to be. This is no doubt my favorite website to be. I just want to help out to the best of my ability. If the administrators don't find me to be better suited for a moderating position and decide to give the responsibility to another user, I will be happy that there are people who they believe can keep this site awesome exist.

Liacon we are not going to be nazi's at all, in fact its going to be minimum and you will still be able to say anything you feel on The YNC. Considering our videos I dont think we should govern our users comments at all. But there are a couple who just post to piss off everyone and can never make a contribution or a stimulating word whatsoever to comments. These are the only ones were worried about.Can't we have one site where the 1st amendment still means something!!!
I promise youll still be able to say whatever you want and the comments will still be as they are now

@ GOD just your name alone makes me a little suspicious. Please remember, what offends you might not offend everyone else.
