That's one of the most heart-breaking 911 tDingalingKing I've ever heard. Poor babies. So do we know what happened when paramedics arrived? If the mom lived?

I dug up the news story about this. The mother was dead on the scene, the kids were taken to stay with relatives. Near as I can tell, Jesus Humberto Canales is still at large; the most recent articles I can find about the murder is from July of last year.

As for my searching for this, I discovered that murder-by-sword is apparently still fairly common. I can't decide if this fact is really cool or really awful.
