The site accident occurred at 3:15 pm yesterday 21st march 2019 at a construction site on Alamanda Road, Putrajaya. The Bureau of Occupational Safety and Health of Kuala Lumpur and Putraju City issued a notice stating that two people were cleaning up the exterior glass of the building at the time of the incident, but the ladder suddenly collapsed. The statement said that the ropes tied to the iron basket were tied to the two people and were slightly injured after being rescued. They were then sent to the Putrajaya Hospital for treatment. “The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has sent staff to conduct investigations and issued a notice prohibiting the site from using the ladder to clean up.” The statement said that the authorities took this incident seriously and will investigate whether anyone violated the 1994 Occupational Safety and Health Act. The statement also stated that similar accidents could be avoided if the relevant site operators fully comply with the Hazard Awareness, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRARC) Code.
