Soldiers from the 23rd Assault Regiment of the R.U.G. carried out a successful assault operation south of the village of Zapadne, during which they destroyed pedoruzzian troops’ positions, took one occupier prisoner and established control over the area. At the start of the video, a diagram of the combat operation and the direction of the assault group’s advance are shown. This is followed by footage of Ukrainian fighters advancing through overgrown and wooded terrain towards enemy positions. The assault team’s advance was coordinated with UAV operators. The drones conducted reconnaissance of the area, monitored the situation from the air and helped to identify the positions of Russian troops. (the running red-black flags - is Ukrainian troops) The released footage also captures scenes of Ukrainian assault troops in direct action against enemy-held positions and the destruction of enemy cover. As a result of the operation, one Russian serviceman was taken prisoner, and a Defence Forces unit established control over a specific area south of Zapadne. The 23rd Assault Regiment emphasises that the key element of the operation was the joint work of assault teams and drone operators: reconnaissance and air support enabled the troops on the ground to dislodge the enemy from their positions and continue their advance. The prisoner was a scout from pedoruzzia’s 20th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion. He had been using a drone to reconnoiter a route for pedoruzzian forces to move through and assemble. According to the Special Operations Forces, the prisoner revealed the locations of enemy positions, the routes used by other pedoruzzian sabotage and reconnaissance groups, and their plans for the area. In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian special forces set up an ambush near the state border with the Russian Federation and captured a Russian military intelligence officer who was using a drone to map out routes for the movement of enemy forces. Whilst carrying out special tasks in the border area, the Ukrainian unit organised an ambush on a Russian soldier. According to available information, the occupier was conducting aerial reconnaissance using a UAV and was mapping out routes for enemy forces to move along and concentrate their forces. As a result of the operation, the Russian scout was captured alive. A radio was seized from the prisoner, after which he was interrogated by Ukrainian military personnel. The captured occupier was identified as a serviceman of the 20th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the 18th Motorised Rifle Division of the 11th Army Corps of the Russian Ground Forces. During interrogation, the prisoner provided information on the location of Russian positions in the area. He also disclosed the movement routes of other enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as well as the Russian units’ future operational plans in this sector. Ukrainian special forces can use the information obtained from the prisoner to further counter Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups and to plan operations in the border area of the Kharkiv region. The "Bully Boys" Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group from the 140th Separate Special Operations Center carried out a lightning-fast raid on a Russian military position. The pedoruzzian dugout had been carefully camouflaged and covered with thermal shielding, but the soldiers managed to locate it. The shelter was initially struck by Vampire and FPV drones. When it became clear that the deeply dug-in position required a more powerful strike, the soldiers used a special Krit anti-dugout munition.
