Disabled woman falls into public toilet pit in Almaty. Kazakhstan. A disabled woman has gone missing in Almaty. The 25-year-old woman disappeared after leaving her home. Her family raised the alarm – she is disabled and her long absence has frightened them greatly. Later, a terrifying discovery was made: she fell into a public toilet pit and was trapped there for almost 24 hours. A police officer discovered the woman by chance. He heard her and helped her out. She was unable to get out on her own due to her physical disability. She was rescued. She suffered shock, significant hypothermia and minor fractures and scratches. It is still unknown how she could have fallen there, but such (common in Kazakhstan) almost no security for similar structures has caused a great deal of controversy and heated discussion.
