According to activist Maria Sarungi Tsehai, the victim was targeted after allegedly criticizing the Chande Commission and its findings regarding post-election violence. Blurred screenshots from a graphic video of the crime were shared, highlighting the extreme savagery involved. The case has been linked to a recent disturbing trend of beheadings and mutilations in the country, raising serious concerns about rising violence and public safety. Claims have also surfaced suggesting possible police involvement, though these remain unverified. This incident has fueled strong calls for accountability and criticism of the current administration.</a>

There are disturbing unconfirmed reports coming from Tunduma, Tanzania involving a Zambian citizen, named as Phillip Zvaipa Zimhindo.
According to a voice note circulating on social media, Phillip had crossed into Tunduma from Zambia to buy rice. A young boy allegedly began following him, persistently trying to get Phillip to buy from a specific seller. Phillip reportedly pushed the boy away gently to stop the harassment, and the boy left.
Minutes later, the boy returned with a mob, claiming that Phillip had “magically stolen” his private parts. Without any verification, the mob reportedly began beating Phillip. Some even brought a car tyre to burn him alive.
It is said that just as they started setting him on fire, Tanzanian police arrived, after being alerted by Zambian police in Nakonde. Phillip was rushed to hospital alive but badly bleeding. Sadly, he later died in hospital in Tanzania.
This pattern is not new. These deadly accusations of “private parts theft” first emerged at Kasumbalesa (Zambia/DRC border), spread to Chingola, and then to Kalumbila’s Kisasa area where we lost Eneless Kamutumbe, a woman killed by a mob. Now, another life has been lost in Tunduma.</a>
