A 45-year-old man was arrested for murdering his wife and hiding her body in a freezer at their home in Osasco, Greater São Paulo, after an anonymous tip.
The unnamed suspect continued his daily life, believing the crime would go unnoticed. The victim, unnamed pending family notification, was found asphyxiated and frozen in the household freezer.
“The scene was disturbing. There were no signs of struggle or blood. The body was meticulously placed in a fetal position, frozen solid, complicating identification,” said the lead investigator. Police noted a history of domestic disputes that often turned violent and concerned neighbors.
