She wasn't jaywalking. She wasn't texting. She wasn't doing anything wrong. Then a box truck turned into a residential complex, slammed into a metal height-restriction bar — and the entire thing collapsed onto her. The surveillance video shows her walking one second, crumpled on the ground the next. The truck driver jumped out, tried to lift the pole off her, called for help. But she was already unresponsive. The bar was installed to 'protect residents from large trucks.' It did the exact opposite. Local authorities are 'investigating.' They haven't said if she survived. They haven't said if anyone will be charged. Just another day in China where infrastructure fails and pedestrians pay the price.</a>
