In July 2025, the Swedish ISIS terrorist Osama Krayem was sentenced by the Stockholm District Court to life imprisonment for a grave war crime and a terrorist offense. The verdict concerns his involvement in the terrorist organization ISIS’s brutal 2015 execution in Syria, in which Jordanian fighter pilot Muath al-Kasasbeh was burned to death in a cage.
