Pharmacy Robber Chased And Gunned Down By Police In Brazil

A police incident ended with one person dead and another injured in the early hours of Wednesday (August 18th) in Santo André. The case took place on Gertrudes de Lima street, near the intersection with João Seis street, close to NotreDame Hospital, and began after a criminal act against a pharmacy in the area. During their attempt to escape, those involved were found by Military Police officers, leading to an exchange of gunfire.

According to the police report, the two suspects were on a motorcycle after robbing a Drogasil pharmacy and were located by a Military Police team during their escape.

The motorcycle used by the suspects was also impounded and had an altered license plate. The weapons of the officers involved in the incident were seized and sent for forensic analysis.

The incident was referred to the 2nd Police District of Santo André, responsible for registering the occurrence, which includes suspicions of robbery, receiving stolen goods, and tampering with vehicle identification numbers.
