Two men died after being run over by a car on Friday morning (21), on Rua Antônio José Bentes, in Capão Redondo, South Zone of São Paulo .

According to the Military Police, the two men were suspected of robbing the driver of the vehicle. During the escape, the driver allegedly lost control of the car and hit the pair.

The two suspects died at the scene. According to the Military Police, officers who responded to the incident found several cell phones, wedding rings, and a weapon in their possession.

The driver involved in the incident was taken to the Capão Redondo Emergency Medical Service. No information has been released about his health status.

Police teams were mobilized to respond to the incident. The occurrence will be registered at the 47th Police District (DP), which is responsible for the region, and will investigate the circumstances of the hit-and-run and the alleged robbery.
