Nepal has the highest mountain in the world, and are susceptible to freezing glaciers... therefore terrible avalanches. What did they expect? No offense. This is one of the most disastrous events to take place in history. People genuinely need to stop building homes next to volcanoes and glaciers that cause massive rises in water levels. I would rehome on mountains like Appalachia, or move away after that. We have to love ourselves. My condolences to Nepal and all of the victims. Rip.

This is more than a flood, this is an avalanche! I hope people stopping homing near active volcanos and severe temperatures.

Glaciers move and/or break, it's not unheard of. I don't understand why people put their homes near mountains, glaciers, on the beach, or on sea cliffs.

These fucking places and their water and mud problems. Holy shit. The place looks like crap and was already covered in shit all over. Now it's literally buried in it. Damn!

Check out other angles online (they'll probably be posted on YNC soon enough). Unbelievable destructive power. Death toll will skyrocket for sure.

2 +1 RooBot 3 weeks ago

@pingvuiini - Aye, tracked them down earlier. Nature is mind boggling..

Death toll is up to 95 at the time of writing.

The force of water is truly remarkable. Can level a building in a second and wash it miles downstream.

@Felixdcat74 Chinese workmanship ftw

Amazing that a collapsing 2000 ft wide Glacier can cause this much destruction!
