The revolution didn't work out, it only succeeded in Russia and failed horribly in Germany for example. For communism to work, socialism has to be established first. Socialism can only be established, if capitalism is fully abolished in AT LEAST the most important countries, the industrial hotspots, according to Friedrich Engels in "Principles of Communism".
