@Worldonfire666 When a drone, particularly a First-Person View (FPV) kamikaze drone, has locked onto you in Ukraine, the situation is critical, as they are fast (>100km/h), agile, and often fly in pairs. The goal is to break the operator's line of sight, create physical barriers, or force the drone to exhaust its battery.

To Evade:
Run Zigzag and Change Elevation: Do not run in a straight line. Run downhill or change elevation rapidly, as this forces the operator to manually adjust, which takes time.
Hide Immediately: Get behind thick, hard cover—concrete walls, deep trenches, or inside buildings. Avoid thin cover like car doors or wooden fences, which drones can penetrate.
"Drop and Cover": If you cannot reach cover, drop to the ground, preferably in a ditch or crater, and cover your head. The blast is often directional or produces fragmentation.
Use Smoke or Visual Obscurants: Drones rely on cameras. Using smoke, fire, or even throwing debris can obscure the camera or confuse the operator.
Hide Underground: Drones are ineffective underground. Utilize basements, tunnels, or sewer systems.

For Specific FPV Defence
Wait for the Miss: FPV drones have limited battery life (roughly 10–20 minutes). If you can dodge the first pass, the drone may have to return to base or crash.
Target the Operator (If Armed): If you have a weapon and can locate the operator (usually within 1–3 km), neutralizing them is the only way to stop the drone, as they rely on a live video feed.
"Chicken Coop" and Netting: Vehicles should be covered with metal mesh or netting ("chicken coops" to detonate the charge before it hits the vehicle armor.

DONT
Run to a Group: A single FPV can neutralize a team. Disperse immediately; running to a group makes a larger target.
Stay in the Open: Open fields offer no protection from top-down attacks.
Stay in the Same Spot: If a drone misses, it will likely return or call in artillery to the same location, so move immediately.
