A COUVA man and his girlfriend were shot and killed when they were ambushed by a gunman outside their home yesterday.

Devaughn Toussaint, 38, was holding a toddler when he was shot four times near a play park outside of his townhouse at Jade Court in Lisas Gardens and died at the scene, police said.
