In the early hours of Sunday, September 13, a man seriously wounded his ex-partner and another man with a machete before taking his own life in Las Vegas, in the Rómulo Gallegos municipality of Cojedes state.

The assailant, identified as 33-year-old José Gregorio Aparicio González, intercepted the victims and brutally attacked them with a machete, inflicting extremely severe injuries.

After committing the double attempted homicide, Aparicio González fled the scene and returned to his home.

Police authorities found him hanged on his property.

The injured individuals were identified as Yuraima Pinto and Jesús Sánchez.

Both were rushed to the Dr. Egor Nucete Hospital in San Carlos, where on-duty doctors performed emergency surgery.

Their condition is critical.
