The man murdered early Friday morning, September 18, near the La Satélite market in Florencia, Caquetá, was identified by the community as Luis Alfonso Calderón.

Calderón, known as "Correcaminos" (Roadrunner), is remembered in the city for selling cups to support himself. It has also come to light that he faced a difficult socioeconomic situation that led him to wander the streets. The Mayor's Office and the Hagamos Grande Florencia Foundation attempted to offer him assistance on several occasions, but he refused
their offers.

According to preliminary information, the victim had an argument with a homeless man, whom he confronted about the alleged theft of a bag containing cups, the product with which he earned a living. During the altercation, the other man allegedly stabbed him, causing a serious injury that resulted in his death at the scene.
