Most people I see hanging themselves on here seem to pretty quickly change their minds & attempt to get back the stool or whatever support they'd kicked away, this guy was... I can't say lucky because by changing his mind about the hanging he traded a quick, suffocating death for a lonnnng, buuuurning, agonizing one...

@Rustyblades Most people who hang themselves don't seem to consider that in a 'clean hanging', the weight of the body snaps the neck almost instantly upon falling, resulting in imminent loss of consciousness and paralysis. In what is actually considered a 'botched hanging', the (intended) type we often see in suicides posted here, death is slow and agonizing due to suffocation. - Thankfully, once unconscious fairly quickly, these individuals also don't seem to notice their body's spasmodic convulsions. - The type we consider one hell of a show as they flop around like fish on dry land.

@ATLXPLORE24 I've always thought if I was gonna off myself via hanging (which I wouldn't do) I'd tie the end to a balcony railing & jump, so it's instant like an old western movie hanging. Those dudes that fling their heads across railroad tracks right before the train passes have the right idea. Those fucking *dumbasses* that set themselves on fire have the wrong idea. Instead of death like the quick flicking off of a light switch, it's TOTAL AGONY & TOTAL REGRET

Poisoning is far worse than hanging. You lose consciousness 5 seconds after the neck is compressed by body weight. The rest of the twitching, shaking, and kicking is just reflexes.
