I'd suggest the opposite approach, though. Make them longer, fewer cuts, less effort, more buildup between the major action (the kills)

Your audience is a gaggle of retards who can't follow too many cuts, but too ADHD to sit for more than twenty seconds for the opening. Just try to remember, it's not their fault ????

@Massacreman3000 On my compilations, I follow the rhythm of the music, so I can't cut as I please, otherwise the clips for the next video wouldn't fit the music. This kind of editing isn't that easy; I spend a lot of time on it, but if it's just going to get me torn down by giants who've never done any editing, I'd rather stop for now. And I want to emphasize that most people like my edits, so they can't be that bad. But I'm fed up with people who do nothing and then criticize your work, so bye.

@JuiceWRLD I’ve seen gore compilations set to instrumental Celine Dion tracks—now *that* is actual garbage—but I try to find good instrumentals and sync the action to the beat; basically, I put effort into making the compilation dynamic by following the music. It takes me eight hours to make a single three- or four-minute compilation, including the time spent searching for clips, so it really annoys me when people who’ve probably never edited a video come along and say it sucks. Like I said, I won’t be posting here for a while—maybe I’ll come back later—but I need a break because I hate getting trashed in the comments whenever someone doesn't like one of my compilations. I don't criticize other creators because I’m respectful, but not everyone is like that. It’s a shame, too, because I had several other compilations ready to post, but I guess that’ll have to wait until I’ve cooled off. You say you didn't mean to disappoint, and maybe you didn't intend any harm, but you *did* disappoint people—it’s a shame, but let me assure you, you’re not the only one.

@bestgore2.0 like I said, really wasn't the music in particular, but the NZ half is lowkey a blur fest, and there's definitely still some HD copies out there. That's all. My apologies, nonetheless
