11 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 3 months ago

@WhiteboiSUPREME he was recording the protest, and then tried to help a woman up after she was pushed to the ground by ICE. They pepper-sprayed him, pinned him down, one struck his head repeatedly, they disarmed him of his conceal-carry weapon, and then they shot at him 10 times.

@SugarSlaughter293 you've commented on damn near every post on this video, and yet you haven't changed a single mind or persuaded anyone to think this guy didn't have it coming. Find a new hobby.

@WhiteboiSUPREME I have to keep telling yall because I don’t want people thinking that others deserve to be pepper-sprayed and shot for trying to catch tripped women. I haven’t persuaded anyone because y’all don’t take me seriously, I’m surprisingly aware of that :(

5 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 3 months ago

@SugarSlaughter293 and even then, some of them weren’t even about Pretti. Some were about discussions of 2a examples like Rittenhouse, they were about why ICE is suddenly such a big deal, when it wasn’t under Obama or Biden. I’ve covered quite a few topics down here.

@ipi**onliberals he was filming law enforcement agents with his phone and directing traffic, then stood between an agent and a woman whom the agent had pushed to the ground. He was pepper-sprayed and wrestled to the ground by several federal agents, with around six surrounding him when he was shot and killed AFTER his legal conceal-carry weapon (which contrary to "popular" belief, he never took out once) was confiscated and he was pinned. There was no finding out here, because he barely fucked around in the first place.

Classic projection. You libtards wouldn’t know what to think if the media stopped forcing bullshit down your throats.

4 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 3 months ago

@Jesterhead88 sir I’m pretty sure you’re responding to a parody account. Even then, there’s a high difference between getting shot 10 times on the ground while pinned down and disarmed from your LEGAL weapon while barely ANY officers are barking orders at you and telling you what to do, and crawling through a capitol window like a zombie while officers are telling you to stop or you’ll get shot. Also, if you’re gonna say “Ashli Babbitt" please note that despite multiple warnings not to proceed, Babbitt attempted to climb through a shattered window beside a barricaded door into the House Speaker's Lobby, at which point she was shot in the shoulder by United States Capitol Police (USCP) Lieutenant Michael Byrd. After a USCP emergency response team administered aid, Babbitt was transported to Washington Hospital Center, where she died from her injuries. Although some media reports described Babbitt as unarmed at the time of the shooting, a crime scene examination report revealed that a pocketknife was found in Babbitt's pants pocket. The USCP deemed that the shooting was "lawful and within Department policy" and "potentially saved Members [of Congress] and staff from serious injury and possible death".
Whereas Alex Pretti was filming law enforcement agents with his phone and directing traffic. At one point, he stood between an agent and a woman whom the agent had pushed to the ground, putting his arm around the woman. He was then pepper-sprayed and wrestled to the ground by several federal agents, with around six surrounding him when he was shot and killed. Bystander video verified and reviewed by Reuters, the BBC, The Wall Street Journal, and the Associated Press (AP) appears to show an agent removing a gun and moving away from Pretti roughly one second before another agent fires at him. AP reported that a voice can be heard saying "gun, gun" right before the first shot.

So then, in case anyone is still wondering what the fuck that was, I shall copy and paste what I found on the description of the shooting from Wikipedia (WARNING - THIS IS VERY LONG!!!):

Alex Pretti was shot multiple times by Border Patrol agents near the intersection of 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis. A witness stated that ICE agents attempted to enter a doughnut shop moments before the shooting. A person they were pursuing had entered the shop, after which the employees locked the doors. Pretti, who was across the street, was observing and attempting to direct traffic. The shooting happened less than 2 miles (3.2 km) from his home, and was the third shooting by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis in three weeks.
According to Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino, the federal agents involved in the shooting were attempting to detain an undocumented immigrant with a "significant criminal history". After reviewing its own records and those of the state courts, the Minnesota Department of Corrections reported that the individual Bovino named had no criminal history in Minnesota, and had only misdemeanor traffic offenses from more than a decade earlier.
A witness told news outlets that a man entered a local shop and the door was locked, denying the agents entry. This reportedly caused the agents to call for backup and become aggressive toward observers, including Pretti.
Videos showed Pretti recording agents alongside two other civilians when two agents walked into the street to confront them. One agent pushed a civilian wearing an orange backpack 28 seconds before the first shot was fired. Pretti moved toward the sidewalk, attempting to help two others being pushed by agents. Pretti stood between the agent and a woman being pushed, "briefly putting his hand on the agent's waist", and was pepper-sprayed by the agent. Pretti held up his hands, with one hand holding his phone and the other held up to protect himself from being maced. Pretti reached to wrap his arms around the fallen woman, "apparently trying to help her up". An agent shoved Pretti, and Pretti and the woman fell, still embracing.
According to The New York Times, Pretti then "trie[d] to pull away, and ... [made] no threatening movements towards the agents", who "pull[ed] him backwards and force[d] him to the ground." Pretti was restrained by several agents on the ground, with both of his arms "pinned down by his head". The agent that pepper-sprayed Pretti hit him with the pepper spray canister multiple times. Another agent in gray removed Pretti's firearm from his hip. A third agent, who had been focused on trying to pepper-spray the fallen woman and had his back to Pretti, turned around to Pretti after hearing someone yell that he had a gun. Around five seconds later this third agent drew his weapon and shot Pretti at close range, with his arm visibly recoiling in recordings of the event. When the first shot was fired, Pretti's gun had already been removed by an agent in gray, and the shooter was "standing behind Pretti and not under direct threat". The shooter also had the sightline to see that the agent in gray had removed the gun, but it is unknown whether he witnessed the removal. The shooter fired three more shots into the back of Pretti, who appeared "to brace himself against the pavement" with one hand still holding his phone and his other hand holding his glasses. Pretti collapsed to the ground, and the agent that pepper-sprayed Pretti took out his gun. He along with the first shooter fired six more shots at Pretti as he lay motionless on the ground. The two agents had fired a total of 10 shots in five seconds. According to analysis by The New York Times, agents yelled that Pretti had a gun approximately eight seconds after he had been pinned to the ground.
DHS said that Pretti approached Border Patrol officers with a handgun, and an agent sprayed mace before firing defensive shots after attempting to disarm him. Video of the incident showed Pretti's phone in his right hand and nothing in his left hand. In sworn testimony, two witnesses said that Pretti did not brandish a gun, and a frame-by-frame analysis of video by the BBC reached the same conclusion. Multiple videos showed a federal agent pulling a gun from the scuffle matching the description later given by DHS. According to The Wall Street Journal: "A frame-by-frame review [...] shows a federal officer pulling a handgun away from Pretti. Less than a second later, an agent fires several rounds."
Officers backed away from Pretti's body, where they remained for about 45 seconds. When the agents returned, one kneeled next to Pretti's body and asked where the gun was. A physician present before emergency medical services arrived was initially prevented from assessing Pretti's condition by immigration agents because they were not carrying their physician's license. The physician later stated in a court filing that the officers appeared to be counting bullet holes rather than providing first aid, and Pretti had not been placed in the position to provide CPR. When the physician was eventually allowed access, they observed at least three bullet wounds in Pretti's back, one in the upper-left chest, and one possible bullet wound to the neck. The physician provided CPR until medics arrived. DHS stated that medics rendered aid to Pretti, who died at the scene.
Border Patrol on-site commander Gregory Bovino said an officer who shot Pretti had been serving with the agency for eight years and had "extensive training as a Range Safety Officer". Bovino reported that as of January 25, 2026, all agents present at the scene of the shooting were still on the job, though they had been placed on administrative duty and/or relocated out of Minneapolis for the officers' safety. Bovino added that the involved "will remain Border Patrol agents".

So uh…yeah. In my opinion, this was a murder. They’d already taken his gun, and had him pinned down. I’d say a person who’s been pinned down by SIX grown men who’s had his legal concealed-carry handgun “confiscated” isn’t that much of a danger anymore…so why shoot? But yeah, that’s just my thoughts. Feel free to tell me yours.

@SugarSlaughter293 also, here’s an abbreviated timeline by ABC News if you have a TikTok attention span (based on 6 different verified videos of the incident):

8:54:54 a.m. -- Activists arrive at Nicollet Avenue, according to eyewitness video obtained by the Associated Press.

8:55:51 a.m. -- Activists appear to call for assistance from others after spotting federal officers. An individual off camera can be heard saying, “Need more observers, they are getting out of their car.”

8:56:29 a.m. -- At least eight federal officers gather outside Glam Doll Donuts.

8:57:46 a.m. -- Federal officers are seen preparing canisters of pepper spray, as more protestors arrive.

8:58:11 a.m. -- Three minutes and two seconds before the first shot is fired, Alex Pretti holds a phone before a federal officer on Nicollet Ave. in Minnesota, in what appears to be an apparent attempt to record a nearby detention by immigration authorities.
8:58:22 a.m. -- A second federal officer carrying a canister of pepper spray approaches Pretti, who continues to hold up his phone.

8:58:29 a.m. -- One federal officer appears to push Pretti towards the sidewalk.

8:59:08 a.m. -- Another eyewitness begins recording the incident, showing Pretti continuing to lift his phone towards officers, as they appear to detain someone in the street.

8:59:24 a.m. -- Pretti is seen lifting a phone towards the officers as they move a detainee into a nearby vehicle.
9:00:12 a.m. -- Pretti continues to lift his phone towards nearby federal officers as they interact with two unidentified individuals, one with an orange backpack and another in a parka.

9:00:21 a.m. -- The two individuals, who were later pepper-sprayed alongside Pretti, speak with a federal agent. Several people honk and whistle. “Watch out for that car,” the officer says as a car passes the group.

9:00:41 a.m. -- Three different cameras capture the next interaction. The officer shouts at one of the civilians, “Do not push them into traffic,” and pushes them towards Pretti. Pretti continues to raise his phone towards the officers.

9:00:44 a.m. -- The individual who was pushed appears to hold onto Pretti as the federal officer approaches them.
9:00:45 a.m. -- The federal officer appears to push Pretti.

9:00:47 a.m. -- The officer is seen pushing the individual with the orange backpack.

9:00:50 a.m. -- The officer uses pepper spray on Pretti, and Pretti appears to raise his hand towards the officer to get between the officer and the person with the backpack, but the officer immediately pepper-sprays him. According to ABC News contributor and former acting DHS undersecretary Cohen, it appears Pretti used his hand in an attempt to signal that he was not a threat to officers.
9:00:53 a.m. -- The officer pepper-sprays the other two civilians again.

9:00:54 a.m. -- After being sprayed, Pretti appears to fall into the person with the backpack and possibly grab that person to stabilize himself.

9:00:56 a.m. -- The federal officer appears to pull Pretti into the street, appearing to tug him by the hood of his coat.

9:01:02 a.m. -- Three officers hold down Pretti, while another group of officers surrounds Pretti. According to ABC News contributor and former acting DHS undersecretary Cohen, the officers do not appear to be following the tactical steps to control and arrest Pretti. “This just seemed to be a free-for-all, and they didn't seem to have any understanding from a tactical perspective on how to gain control of that individual,” he said.

9:01:05 a.m. -- A nearby woman can be heard screaming, “That is police brutality. They are hitting an observer. They're kicking them in the face.” At one point, at least five officers are on top of Pretti, pinning him down.

9:01:11 a.m. -- One of the agents appears to hit Pretti, swinging his hand to repeatedly punch Pretti.

9:01:12 a.m. -- One of the officers appears to draw a handgun.
9:01:13 a.m. -- One of the federal officers appears to remove a gun from Pretti's waist that seems to match the handgun federal officials said he was carrying.

9:01:14 a.m. -- Another video shows the officer in the grey jacket emerging from the scrum, holding a firearm that appears to match Pretti’s weapon. The video of the officer entering the scrum did not show the agent carrying a weapon. Three cameras capture the moment.

9:01:14 a.m. -- First shot is fired. At least one officer immediately steps away from Pretti.

9:01:16 a.m. -- One second after the first shot, three additional shots are fired. Pretti appears to go limp and fall to the ground.

9:01:19 a.m. -- Within three seconds, six more shots are fired. The six agents have stepped back from Pretti’s body.

9:01:45 a.m. -- Twenty-nine seconds after the first shot, an officer approaches Pretti. According to a sworn affidavit from a doctor who says they treated Pretti at the scene, Pretti had at least three bullet wounds in his back, an additional wound on his upper chest, and another possible wound on his neck.
09:02:28 a.m. -- Seventy-four seconds after the first shot is fired, the officer in a grey jacket is heard saying, “I got the gun. I got the gun,” and walks towards the officers surrounding Pretti.

An analysis conducted by Robert Maher, a professor at Montana State University specializing in audio forensics, concluded that 10 shots were fired in less than 5 seconds.

In the end, it's a kind of Gestapo and training for the police of the new world order.

@FriendsForever Working and filing a tax form have fuck all to do with the actual problem of the millions of illegal ignorants who were let in to create economic devastation, this includes the division and chaos. freedom" and "democracy". Two words that have zero value in a government that doesn't even exist whe you realize they are all just playing a role. Obama made it legal for the gov to flat out lie to everyone. Fuck your points to ponder. That shit is for dumbfucks

53 +1 TheThing87 4 months ago

What people dont understand: By deporting illegals, ICE is enforcing the law, the same law that was broken when these illegals entered the US, and Biden and his democ-rats didnt do anything about it but giving them free money. So, if people are outraged now about the chaos and the turmoil, they should thank the democ-rat administration for it, not Trump, who is simply ENFORCING the law!

5 +1 YoMamaPuss 4 months ago

@TheThing87 it's fucking Americans being killed, not illegals. Not even legal immigrants, straight up born in the US Americans. But keep sobbing on his knob harder.

3 +1 TheThing87 4 months ago

@YoMamaPuss But the people being shot are disrupting the law enforcement action, and they do that violently, which is why they are being shot. If i run off to aid a serial killer, which is about to being shot by police, because of my political ideology, and i attack the cops, they have every right to shoot me too. Because i am attacking law enforcement to protect a criminal, which makes me a criminal too.

1 +1 hypercabbage15 4 months ago

@TheThing87 they will do anything and everything to make trump look like the bad guy. They have congress and the Jews on their side. The Jews control everything and for those who disagree, shoot yourself in the head and post it here so we can all laugh. We need to start killing liberals on sight

2 +1 Blackened420 4 months ago

@TheThing87 this is the result of democratic politicians gaslighting their voters to cause outrage because without illegals, they don’t win elections. Everything is on the line for them. That’s why it’s such a big deal now, vs when Obama was doing the same shit. These are the same politicians who convinced their own base to hate themselves for being white. Their voter base makes up the majority of mental illness patients. So with the right propaganda, they can ultimately get them to do anything they want. There will be many, many, many more liberal deaths before this is over. It’s a voluntary ‘purge’.

2 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 4 months ago

@Blackened420 (I got these from Google AI. Don’t hate the player, hate the cheat code)
Firstly, the claim that Democrats use illegal immigrants to win elections is a false narrative not supported by evidence. It is illegal for non-U.S. citizens to vote in federal or state elections, and instances of this occurring are extremely rare, with severe penalties for those involved.
Why the Claim is False
Illegality and Penalties: Federal law prohibits non-citizens from voting in federal elections, with violations carrying penalties such as fines, imprisonment, and deportation. These consequences deter non-citizens from attempting to vote.
Rarity of Occurrence: Studies and audits, including those from non-partisan organizations and conservative groups, indicate that non-citizen voting is extremely rare and does not affect election results. For instance, a 2017 analysis of millions of votes found only a minuscule number of suspected non-citizen votes. The Heritage Foundation's database of voter fraud cases also shows a very limited number of non-citizen voting instances over a long period.
Path to Citizenship: Becoming a U.S. citizen is a lengthy legal process, often taking a decade or more. Most recent migrants do not have an immediate path to citizenship, and therefore no legal way to vote. Experts consider the claim that they are quickly granted citizenship to vote for Democrats to be improbable.
Census and Apportionment: Claims that including non-citizens in the Census unfairly benefits Democrats in congressional apportionment have been shown by academic research to have a negligible impact.
Misinformation and AI: Accusations of non-citizen voting are often linked to misinformation and conspiracy theories, sometimes spread by public figures and amplified by AI-generated deepfakes and false narratives.

Secondly, ICE has become a more prominent and controversial agency compared to the Obama era due to a shift toward aggressive interior enforcement, significantly increased funding ($85 billion), and expanded, sometimes militarized, tactics away from the border. While Obama focused on deporting those with criminal records, recent administrations have made all undocumented immigrants potential, high-priority targets.
Key differences in ICE's role now versus the Obama administration include:
Expanded Priorities: The Obama administration set strict, narrow enforcement priorities (mainly targeting criminals), while recent policy has removed exemptions, making nearly all undocumented individuals vulnerable to removal.
Interior Enforcement Focus: Historically, enforcement was concentrated near the border; current tactics have shifted deeply into the interior of the U.S., increasing the visibility of arrests in communities.
Budget and Resources: ICE's budget has skyrocketed, with recent legislation significantly increasing funding to over $85 billion, making it a heavily resourced federal law enforcement agency.
Aggressive Tactics: ICE has faced increased criticism for using more aggressive tactics, such as working with local law enforcement, increasing hiring, and using methods that have led to increased scrutiny over excessive force and human rights concerns.
Impact on U.S. Citizens: The number of U.S. citizens screened or interviewed by ICE for immigration status grew significantly following the transition away from the Obama administration, raising concerns about racial profiling.
In contrast, the Obama administration was known for creating a detailed hierarchy for enforcement, often leading to it being labeled "Deporter-in-Chief" due to high numbers, but with more defined targets.

Third, Based on analysis of political discourse, there is no evidence that Democrats actively convince voters to hate themselves for being white. Instead, debates center on identity politics and addressing systemic racism, which critics argue can alienate white working-class voters by focusing on racial disparities.
Focus on Equity, Not Self-Loathing: The Democratic platform often emphasizes racial justice, equity, and acknowledging historical inequalities. Critics argue this approach, sometimes termed "identity politics," can be interpreted by some as blaming white individuals for systemic issues, leading to a sense of alienation.
Political Realignment: Research indicates that the Democratic party’s focus on cultural issues and social justice has contributed to a realignment, where some working-class white voters have moved toward the Republican party, feeling their concerns about the economy or their cultural identity are ignored.
Contrasting Approaches: While some Democratic positions have focused on addressing inequality, others have attempted to bridge these gaps by focusing on economic policies that benefit all working-class voters, regardless of race.
GOP Narrative: Conversely, political analysis suggests the Republican party often uses cultural messages to highlight a "white grievance" narrative, framing Democrats as hostile to white voters in order to strengthen their own coalition.
In summary, the focus is on a political struggle over how to address race in America, with the Democratic focus on equity often portrayed by opponents as anti-white, rather than a direct campaign aimed at generating self-hate.

What's actually disturbing about this one, is in one video, you plainly see an officer put the gun to the back of his head and pull the trigger. He was dead before he hit the ground, and they continued to shoot. I agree, shouldn't be there, shouldn't be impeding traffic, shouldn't be getting in officers faces, shouldn't be resisting, etc... but it was brutal. All because supposedly, Grey jacket ice guy, grabbed the mans gun causing a negligent discharge, to which an officer who was already drawn, aimed about 2 inches away to the back of his head and fired.

5 +1 Gstut518 4 months ago

@Gstut518 its kind of ironic, while protesting police (911) when someone gets shot, right a t the protest the 911, they scream, dial the 911, talk to the police dispatch and have them send an ambulance, we need your help.

3 +1 WilimalSwet 4 months ago

@Gstut518 Uhh, no the fuck you don’t. Are you delusional or just making shit up for the fun of it? Keep supporting illegal aliens that don’t even belong here over your own people. Fucking retard.

3 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 4 months ago

@Gstut518 He wasn’t really resisting, I think. According to The New York Times (and Wikipedia), Alex Pretti "trie[d] to pull away, and ... [made] no threatening movements towards the agents", but "agents pull[ed] him backwards and force[d] him to the ground." He was then restrained by several agents on the ground, with both of his arms "pinned down by his head". The agent that pepper-sprayed Pretti then hit him with the pepper spray canister multiple times.

9 +1 WilimalSwet 4 months ago

@Elliefficent Gives you the right to carry it. It does not give you the right to try to pull it on federal agents after you pick a fight with them.

If you listen carefully, you’ll hear one singular gunshot before a series of gunshots. That was him firing the first shot.

4 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 4 months ago

@WilimalSwet you mean the same gun that was already removed before the first shot was fired? Because the Wikipedia article I found on this killing says, and I quote, "According to The New York Times, Pretti then "trie[d] to pull away, and ... [made] no threatening movements towards the agents", but "agents pull[ed] him backwards and force[d] him to the ground." Pretti was then restrained by several agents on the ground, with both of his arms "pinned down by his head". The agent that pepper-sprayed Pretti then hit him with the pepper spray canister multiple times. Another agent in gray then removed Pretti's firearm from his hip. A third agent, who had been focused on trying to pepper-spray the fallen woman and had his back to Pretti, turned around to Pretti after hearing someone yell that Pretti had a gun. Around five seconds after hearing that Pretti had a gun, this third agent drew his weapon and shot Pretti at close range, with his arm visibly recoiling in recordings of the event.“
You can check the Wikipedia article yourself if you don’t believe me https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Alex_Pretti#Shooting

4 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 4 months ago

@SugarySlaughter293 to add on, When the first shot was fired, Pretti's gun had already been removed by the agent in gray, and the shooter was "standing behind Pretti and not under direct threat, contradicting statements from Homeland Security officials that he fired defensive shots". The shooter also had the sightline to see that the agent in gray had removed the gun, but it is unknown whether he witnessed the removal. The shooter then fired three more shots into the back of Pretti, who appeared "to brace himself against the pavement" with one hand still holding his phone and his other hand holding his glasses. Pretti collapsed to the ground, and the agent that pepper-sprayed Pretti then took out his gun. He along with the first shooter fired six more shots at Pretti as he lay motionless on the ground. The two agents fired 10 shots in five seconds. According to analysis by The New York Times, agents yelled that Pretti had a gun approximately eight seconds after he had been pinned to the ground.

@Elliefficent It is frankly amusing and disgusting at the same time when liberal snowflakes reach out for the 2nd amandment (they are against) as a Hail Mary attempt to twist the obvious. The 2nd amandment gives the right to keep and bear arms, but not for unlawful purpose. And no matter how much of a tantrum liberal bleeding hearts, ANTIFA, or any fucker behind them show, removing illegaly arrived, and/or criminal aliens from the streets of the cities, even from the states and the country IS LAWFUL!

Liberals even try to mingle here the Rittenhouse case, which was a legal carry, lawful usage of weapon, and self defense amidst an unlawful riot..

3 +1 YoMamaPuss 4 months ago

@Grandpaw Would love to hear your take on Kyle Rittenhouse and see how you squirm out of that one lol

1 +1 Grandpaw 4 months ago

@YoMamaPuss , the K.R. incident? You mean the one where the "peaceful" protesters chased him down and attempted to bash his head in?

2 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 4 months ago

@Grandpaw the difference was Pretti (dude that got shot in video) had a concealed-carry handgun that he had in his pocket, that was promptly taken from him when he was restrained by the ICE, and then he was shot after his legal weapon was taken, whereas Kyle Rittenhouse was openly holding a rifle. Yes, maybe he was just “trying to protect businesses”. Yes, maybe he was attacked first. BUT he had quite an opportunity to stop after Joseph Rosenbaum (his first victim)’s shooting. He had an opportunity to stop and call 911 after the person administering first-aid to Rosenbaum told him to, but instead he chose to stand over said person for over half a minute before running out of the parking lot telling his friend on the phone “I just killed someone”. Also note that other protestors such as Anthony Huber, the second victim, only tried to attack him after the first kill, believing he was an active shooter. Also, the police stated that when they arrived to arrest Rittenhouse (despite initially not recognising him as the shooter), they said they were responding to an active shooter incident.

Pretti was disarmed whilst restrained and then shot AFTER his legal concealed-carry weapon was taken.

I will admit, I don’t agree with some of the BLM protestors/rioters actions in Kenosha, the protest shouldn’t have gone as far as attacking vehicles and property. But to basically say that he was an innocent victim who was acting 100% in self defense is blatantly incorrect. He had his chance to call 911 for Rosenbaum, yet ran off, which caused him to run into the other group of protesters, and consequently end up getting into a “fight” with the protesters/rioters trying to apprehend him, which caused Anthony Huber’s death and the injury of Gaige Paul Grosskreutz.

@SugarSlaughter293 Facts don't mind your feelings.

2 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 3 months ago

@Logan and the fact is that based on available biographical information, Alex Pretti was not Jewish; he was of northern Italian descent. While his death in Minneapolis involved condemnation from Jewish organizations and individuals regarding the actions of an ICE agent, this does not indicate his personal religious background.
In the U.S., about 92% of Jewish adults identify as white, yet 8% identify as Hispanic, Black, or other races.

Your facts are pulled from your Nana’s arsehole.

@WilimalSwet well, it’s still awful that he was shot at around 10 times AFTER they took his gun while he was still restrained.

1 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 1 month ago

@WilimalSwet Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology characterized by a dictator, centralized autocracy, militarism, and the forcible suppression of opposition. Emerging in early 20th-century Europe, it promotes a national rebirth, subordinating individual interests to the state, often driven by extreme nationalism.

The political positions and rhetoric of Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th President of the United States, have frequently been described as nationalist and right-wing populist (referred to as Trumpism). (That’s one)
Many political scholars and commentators describe Donald Trump’s political style as authoritarian, particularly highlighting his rhetoric and actions as a form of authoritarian populism. (That’s two.)
Donald Trump is frequently described by scholars, political analysts, and critics as a nationalist, with many identifying his political style as ultranationalist, right-wing populist, or neo-nationalist. His "America First" agenda is often cited as a form of hardline, inward-looking, and sometimes aggressive nationalism that prioritizes American interests above international partnerships. (Three.)
Based on analysis of his presidency and political approach, Donald Trump is often described as promoting a form of militarism, characterized by building up military strength, using coercive diplomacy, and increasing military spending. He himself claimed to be the most "militaristic person", prioritizing a powerful, feared military while often employing BELLICOSE rhetoric and military intervention threats. (Four.)

Trump has supported political violence against opponents; many academics cited Trump's involvement in the January 6 U.S. Capitol attack as an example of fascism.
Especially during his second term, several experts of fascism have characterized Trump and his allies' rhetoric and style of governance as authoritarian, and have compared them to previous fascist leaders'. He has repeatedly expressed support for violent actions by law enforcement and his supporters since the early days of his first presidential campaign in August 2015.

Historians Enzo Traverso, Ruth Ben-Ghiat, and Manon Lefebvre (experts in totalitarianism, fascism, and the United States), and the French translator of Mein Kampf, Olivier Mannoni, argued that Donald Trump fosters a cult of personality thanks to his charismatic, masculinist, reactionary, accessible, and identifiable rhetoric, where his aura matters much more than the quality of his arguments in the eyes of his followers. The four experts drew as such similarities between the fascists of the 1920s–1930s and the MAGA movement.
Furthermore, the three historians believed that the cult of personality skyrocketed since the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in July 2024 by furthering Trump's charismatic aspect as a barrier between US citizens and the "enemy". As such Trump's followers went as far as to talk about "divine intervention" when seeing that the assassination attempt failed.
