On Monday, October 12, 2026, a chaotic incident unfolded in the Ajah area of Lagos when a man posing as a prospective car buyer allegedly stole a Toyota Tundra pickup truck from a dealership.

The suspect targetted the New Holland Auto Group car lot in Victoria Garden City (VGC). Under the guise of inspecting or test-driving the vehicle, he drove off with the truck, triggering a frantic escape.

He crashed through traffic and hit several pedestrians, leaving multiple people injured, and four despatch rider k!ll€d along the busy route.

He was finally nabbed and handed over to the police.
