On October 20, 2026, at 14:32, the State Railway of Thailand’s Operations Center (SRT-OC) was notified by the Bangkok 2 Train Control Division that Ordinary Train No. 284 (Chuk Samet – Bangkok/Hua Lamphong) was passing a level crossing at kilometer marker 152/5–6, located between Pattaya and Bang Lamung stations. The crossing is equipped with an electrically operated barrier arm (Type G.1), which had been properly lowered by the crossing attendant. At 14:30, a Honda MSX motorcycle—which lacked a license plate—was driven by 30-year-old Mr. Withawin Chotimon. The rider maneuvered around the lowered barrier arm and entered the railway right-of-way, resulting in a collision with the train. The rider died at the scene.
The Bang Lamung Station Master filed a report with the Bang Lamung Police Station, and the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation transported the deceased to Pattaya Phatthamakun Hospital in Chon Buri Province.

He was merely exercising his right of way because the train was approaching from his left! ...But then again he was a tourist from Japan and forgot that in Thailand you drive on the wrong side of the road and therefore left has right of way. ...and like it actually fucking matters, BECAUSE IT'S THE WHACKY TRAIN TO FUCK, FUCK, FUCKING WHORETOWN PATTAYAAAAAAAAH!!!
