A routine workday turned dangerous when a plastic container suddenly exploded at a scrap collection unit in Katedan industrial area on Tuesday afternoon. CCTV footage captured the moment of the blast.

The incident occurred around 3 pm at M/S Traders, where workers Sai and Dileep were shifting sacks. After a ripped sack spilled some items, Sai pressed a plastic container with his left foot. As he tried to kick it away after noticing smoke, it exploded, throwing him a few feet away.

Sai suffered injuries to his left foot and burn injuries, while Dileep sustained minor injuries. Both are undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital.

Police have collected evidence for forensic analysis to identify the chemical involved.
