@Cherokee they’re protesting for many reasons:
Economic issues
Economic mismanagement, international sanctions, rising prices, currency crisis – depreciation of the Iranian rial, water and energy shortages

Political issues
Authoritarianism, human rights abuses, political corruption, Internet censorship and blackouts

Systemic/ideological issues
Foreign proxy involvement, mandatory hijab enforcement, ethnic-based discrimination, religious persecution
