Around midday on Friday, February 27, at the La Cruz interchange in Maturín, Monagas state, a woman died in a traffic accident. The motorcycle she was riding collided with a black Ford Ranger pickup truck, causing it to crash into the median.

Leonardo Romero, 28, who was driving the motorcycle, was assisted and rushed to the emergency room of the Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar University Hospital (HUMNT) in Maturín, where he is receiving medical attention.
