In Texas, instead of a helmet, people wear a motorcycle tire around their waist. Whether that actually helps in a fall is questionable. I recommend a helmet. ????

@nek99 You pull in the clutch so as not to stall the motor while heavily on both front and rear brakes. If you need to accelerate at some point to get out of a bad situation, you will still have that option.
