On March 16th, in Nanchong, Sichuan, at the intersection of Guixian Road and Nanbu Commercial Avenue, Taihe New Residence, a student was hit by a female driver while crossing the road at a zebra crossing. The student was then run over in the head by a car traveling in the opposite lane, resulting in a fractured brain and immediate death.

@BoboMuppets It is not common or true that "everyone in China is blind."
While China has a very large number of people with visual impairments—estimated at over 17-31 million, depending on the definition of blindness and low vision—this represents a small percentage of its 1.4 billion population (roughly 0.5–2% for severe impairment/blindness, rather than 100%). However, there is a significant, well-documented issue with visual impairment and myopia in China that is often described as an "epidemic" in news reports.

However, while China has a large absolute number of blind individuals due to its massive population, the overall prevalence of blindness is actually lower than the global average. it is not true that everyone in China is blind, nor is blindness "very common" across the entire population.
