The perspective that certain progressive, anti-fascist, and pro-Palestinian groups share a common agenda with radical Islamist groups is just silly! Some analysts, conservative commentators (such as you), and critics argue that a "red-green alliance" exists, wherein far-left groups (including some open-border advocates and Antifa factions) align with Islamist organizations against shared adversaries, specifically Western capitalism, US foreign policy, and Israel. Proponents of this view often argue that "Queers for Palestine" groups, for example, overlook the repressive stances on LGBTQ+ rights held by Jihadist organizations, prioritizing a shared opposition to Israel, sometimes referred to as intersectionality or "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

However, I’m not quite sure that’s true! I, alongside many on the left and various sociologists argue that these groups have vastly different, often conflicting, motivations and ideologies. We think that pro-Palestinian activists, including LGBTQ+ advocates, are primarily focused on human rights, anti-colonialism, and opposition to occupation, rather than support for Jihadist ideologies. From this perspective, common protests against specific policies do not constitute an ideological alignment with extremism.

supporting Palestinian rights is a matter of intersectional justice, and queer liberation most likely cannot exist without human rights for ALL people (NOT including extremists like Jihadists.), including those living under occupation. In fact, some activists such as myself advocate for LGBTQ+ Palestinians through organizations like alQaws for Sexual & Gender Diversity in Palestinian Society.

However, there are Islamic extremists (such as al-Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, Boko Haram, etc.) who pervert the faith in order to justify mass killings, which are used in Propaganda Videos which usually pop up here (ESPECIALLY FOR ISIS).
The vast majority of Muslims (1.8 BILLION FUCKING PEOPLE) interpret Islam as a religion of peace, justice, and compassion. However, on the contrary, Extremist groups (e.g., ISIS, Al-Qaeda) have created a specialized, radical "ideology" and often quote scriptures out of context to justify political violence. In fact, reports and studies show that a whopping 80-90% of victims of Islamic terrorists are themselves Muslims.

We must distinguish between the actions of extremists versus the 1.8 billion mainstream followers who prioritize peace. Media coverage frequently focuses on terrorism, which creates a disproportionate view of Islam, ignoring the daily lives of the 1.8 BILLION who do not engage in such horrific and disgusting violence in the name of their lord, Allah. We cannot allow Jihadism to destroy civilisations, such as how the Taliban is destroying Afghanistan. We must STOP them!
