A suspected electricity vandal was electrocuted to death while attempting to steal cables from a transformer in the Independence Layout area of Enugu State.

The man, yet-to-be-identified, was part of a group attempting to vandalize a MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) substation.

While tampering with the equipment, electricity supply was restored, leading to his electrocution.
