DIARIO ECO/SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS, RD.- The young Ankelsy Valerio de Jesús, 22, alleged responsible for the death of her sister, Anelsy Ceballos de Jesús, 13, decided to turn herself in to the authorities hours after the National Police activated her search, in coordination with the Public Ministry.
The woman identified as the aggressor voluntarily went to the Regional Directorate of the National Police of La Vega this Thursday.
Valerio de Jesús offered her version of the events, explaining that the tragedy occurred when she was defending her sister from her boyfriend who was abusing her; however, the now deceased went to get a machete and tried to attack her.
He stated that the shots were not intended for Anelsy Ceballos de Jesús, but for Enmanuel Núñez Batista, 20, who was seriously injured, but that she intervened.
"I never meant to hurt my sister," the alleged murderer said.
