The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has publicly executed one of its own militants for killing a civilian. In the footage, armed TTP fighters carry out the execution in a remote, dusty rural area. Notably, one of the militants is armed with a US-made M4A1 carbine alongside AKMS and Type 56-1 rifles. This rare act of internal punishment appears to be an attempt by the TTP to project discipline and limit civilian casualties while continuing their insurgency against the Pakistani state.
