In a shocking incident, an externed criminal was murdered in the middle of the road in the Ganganagar area of Fursungi, near Hadapsar, creating panic in the locality.
The deceased has been identified as Rana Kamble, who had several serious cases registered against him in the past, including theft and assault. Due to his criminal background, he had been externed from the area about a month ago. However, he had violated the externment order and was still moving around in the city.
According to preliminary information, the brutal murder is believed to have stemmed from a rivalry for dominance in the criminal underworld. Rana Kamble had an ongoing dispute with Om More over the past few days, which had even escalated into a physical altercation earlier. In an apparent act of revenge, Om More, along with his associates, confronted Kamble in the Ganganagar area. The argument quickly turned violent, and the accused launched a deadly attack on him. Kamble collapsed in a pool of blood and died on the spot.
The incident has created a tense atmosphere in Fursungi and nearby areas. Despite strict warnings from the Pune Police Commissioner, such daylight killings have raised serious concerns among residents. The police now face a significant challenge in curbing criminal activities, and a manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused involved in the case.
