In northern Shan State, Myanmar, a man was brutally punished by the MNDAA (Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army) after he attacked two elderly people and stole gold from them.According to reports, the suspect went to a small river near Damengyi (大勐宜) in Kunlong District, where he assaulted two elderly victims by striking them on the head in order to rob them of several pieces of gold. After the robbery, he was captured by the MNDAA.The Allied Army then subjected him to severe public punishment: he was hung by his arms and mercilessly whipped with a stick for several minutes on a local basketball court. Witnesses mentioned that the beating was extremely harsh and painful to watch.This incident reflects the strict and often brutal form of justice applied by the MNDAA in the areas under their control, especially against thieves and those who harm civilians.
