Yekaterinburg. The local Housing Management Company hired hitmen to kill a local resident who had long criticized the company's activities publicly and on social networks. When the man initiated a public meeting and protest of residents with the aim of changing the management company, the management company representatives, fearing loss of income, hired several people to carry out the murder of this man. Subsequently, a plan was devised to fraudulently lure the resident to a remote area. There, a group of hitmen hired by the management company awaited him, brutally beat him with their hands and crowbars, and then left him on an empty plot of land, thinking he was dead. However, the man somehow later managed to contact the local police. The perpetrators were identified as natives of Central Asia. One of them worked as a security guard at the management company and the other at a factory. They were charged with attempted murder. The victim suffered multiple fractures throughout his body and lost a kidney during an emergency operation. His condition was life-threatening, but he is reportedly stable.
