A People's Defense Force (PDF) rebel, reportedly acting as a medic, was struck by a Myanmar Army (Tatmadaw) sniper while attempting to cut open the clothing of a body on the battlefield. The incident, captured on video in late April 2026, shows the PDF fighter kneeling in shallow water and using a knife on what appears to be a fallen soldier (identity unclear) when a single sniper round hits him.
