In La Libertade, Peru, a work-related accident occurred on May 17, 2024. Juan de las Rosas Torres Chávez, a father of eight children, was in a restaurant. Unfortunately, he died while working as a worker in a product processing enterprise. While pushing the corn residue to a crusher, his arm was stuck by the machine. The surveillance camera recorded a scene where a colleague tried to grab his legs but failed. They turned off the machine, but only found his body. The widow and eight children fell into a lonely situation and had no financial resources; the company paid for the funeral and agreed to provide financial assistance.
