South Africa: A brazen attempt to rob a cash-in-transit vehicle at a local shopping complex turned into a violent confrontation today, leaving one suspect dead and a driver hospitalized.
The incident unfolded earlier today at the Bushbuckridge complex, where two suspects targeted a parked cash van. According to initial reports, the situation escalated rapidly when one of the suspects successfully forced open the vehicle's door and proceeded to stab the driver.
Security Intervention and Retaliation
A security official stationed at the complex, witnessing the assault, intervened immediately. In an exchange of gunfire, the official shot the assailant, fatally wounding him on the scene.
In a shocking turn of events, the wounded driver, despite having sustained stab injuries, remained in the vehicle. Following the initial shooting, the driver maneuvered the cash van over the fallen suspect twice.
Aftermath and Investigation
The second suspect managed to evade capture and fled the scene on foot before authorities could secure the area. The identity of the accomplice remains unknown, and a police manhunt is currently underway.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident and stabilized the driver, who was transported to a nearby hospital. He is currently receiving medical treatment for his stab wounds

Good for the driver. Lovely. I hope he doesn’t get in trouble because these kind of people robbing they do it once and get away and they WILL do it again
