In the center of Yekaterinburg, a group of deranged individuals beat and kicked a student in the head just because of his appearance and snatched his phone. Around midnight, the drunk men approached the 19-year-old man. They knocked him to the ground, beat him and stomped on his head, then forcibly took his phone and forced him to transfer 800 rubles to a card, before fleeing. The student was left lying on the sidewalk with a broken nose, broken ribs, a severe concussion and abrasions. The attackers, aged 23 to 26, were arrested; police said they confessed to the crime. When asked why they were extorting 800 square meters from the half-dead man, one replied: “I’m an idiot.” Criminal proceedings have been initiated for robbery, disorderly conduct and grievous bodily harm...
