Man Drowns In Front Of Wife After Visiting A Temple
Kanpur (Musanagar): Today left a lifelong scar for a family visiting Kanpur's famous Mukta Devi temple. After paying obeisance at the temple, a young man drowned while bathing in the Yamuna river. Ironically, the young man's wife stood helplessly on the bank, screaming and crying, but could not save her husband.
According to reports, the family had come to Musanagar to visit Mukta Devi. After the darshan, they planned to bathe in the holy Yamuna river. As soon as the young man entered the river, he suddenly began drowning due to the strong current and lack of awareness of the depth.
The accident happened so suddenly that the wife, standing nearby, didn't even have a chance to recover. Seeing her husband struggling with the waves, she desperately pleaded for help. His screams shook the entire ghat, but by the time locals or divers arrived, the young man had already sunk into the deep water.
Those present at the scene tried to rescue the young man and informed the police, but after a prolonged search, when he was finally pulled out, he had already stopped breathing. The house, which had been filled with excitement for the darshan just a few hours earlier, now holds only the silence of mourning.
