I don't believe that this police officer was satisfied with simply taking down an aggressor. This video doesn't convince me that the guy who shot him is a police officer.
If it were me, I would already have the key in the ignition, I would follow the protocol he used, fire the first shot, and then follow the other assailants, trying to be a hero by taking three more individuals off the streets who could one day rob your family if you are in the area where these individuals are located. Know that the consequences these individuals can still have on society leave many families hostage or living in fear because of their actions.
