On May 28, 2026, in the village of al-Qahira, located in the al-Ghab Plain area of rural Hama, Syria, armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on civilians in front of and inside a local store.
The attack resulted in the deaths of three people and left three others injured. All six victims are members of the Murshidi community. Surveillance camera footage captured the incident, showing the gunmen deliberately targeting civilians at the location.
The attack has caused outrage within the Murshidi community, which has since held mourning gatherings to demand justice.
