The Velasco Ibarra Bridge is undergoing significant renovations.

Currently, the bridge, located in the Pichincha canton of Manabí, is 60% through its repotentiation process. This includes critical work such as demolishing the concrete platform, reinforcing with iron, and preparing for the new deck. The bridge is temporarily closed to vehicular traffic, allowing only pedestrian access. No morons allowed.
